After a break-in, damaged locks, doors and frames can leave a property exposed. We can discuss making the entrance secure and arranging appropriate repairs.
Estimated arrival and the quotation are confirmed when you contact us.
01
Two stages, one clear scope
A replacement cylinder cannot repair a split frame, and a board is not a finished door repair. Discuss what will be secured during the first visit and what remains outstanding. Keep access routes clear and avoid disturbing the damaged area if police have asked you to preserve it. Photographs can document the visible condition without handling sharp or unstable parts.
02
The assessment for burglary repairs & emergency boarding up
The first assessment looks at safe access, lock and frame damage and whether temporary boarding is appropriate before permanent repairs.
03
Information to prepare
If there is immediate danger, call the emergency services. Follow police instructions about evidence before anyone handles the damaged entrance.
Temporary boarding or suitable temporary hardware may be possible, depending on the opening and the damage.
Should I request boarding or a permanent repair first?+
When a door or window has been damaged, the first useful question is whether the opening can safely be made secure now. Boarding and permanent lock repairs are separate stages.
